HIS IMAGE YOUTH GROUP exists to Extend the message of God’s love to teenagers, to Include them in the life of the church, and to encourage them to Adore Christ, Grow in their faith and Minister to one another. Include = Fellowship • Fellowship is building positive, loving relationships with other Christians. His Image Youth Group is committed to giving teens the opportunity to build positive, loving relationships with one another and to providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all of our students. John 13:34 &35 – “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” Minister = Service • Service is practically showing Christ’s love to others by our actions. We desire to make a positive impact on our world by practically showing Christ’s love to others through acts of service. We provide opportunities for students to be involved in community service projects & mission trips, and encourage them to use their gifts and abilities to regularly serve others. Matt. 5:16 – “In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they might see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven.” Adore = Worship • Worship is expressing our heart’s attitude of love for God. Through the use of today’s most contemporary worship songs, our praise band gives teens a meaningful way to express their love for God. Matt. 22:37 – “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Grow = Discipleship • Discipleship is growing into a deeper relationship with God. Our greatest desire is to see students grow and mature in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We are committed to teaching Biblical truths that challenge students to go deeper in their walk with God. Matt. 28:20 – “Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Extend = Evangelism • Evangelism is taking the initiative to share Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and leaving the results to God. His Image is committed to regularly sharing the gospel message to teenagers in a clear and relevant way and to encouraging students to actively share their faith with their friends. John 1:41 – “The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him…and he brought him to Jesus.”
